Hello Calvert’s Glen HOA homeowners! Below is the link to pay your dues online.
We use the Zeffy service to process online payments. Zeffy is a zero-fee
platform that nonprofits can use as a payment processor. Using Zeffy makes sure
the HOA does not have any burdensome fees to process online payments.
Zeffy is a free service for nonprofits to use. The requested 15% donation helps
keep them afloat - but it is not required. The 15% is a dropdown; if you click
it and select “Other” then you can specify a $0 dollar donation.
Last September, longtime resident Connie Jenkins generously took time to write a
history of the HOA’s front lot, which also touches on many other parts of our
HOA’s history. The history is available here on Google
Docs.
Here is the introductory paragraph:
“Calvert’s Glen was developed and built by a man named Calvert. I was informed
by the sales manager of the community (a Robert Brace) when we purchased our
home at 249 Markwood Drive in 1986, that Mr. Calvert had purchased this land
following the bankruptcy of the developer of ENVIRONS. Environs was so named as
all this area was named Environs before any development took place in what later
became three (3) communities instead of just one. This area includes Calvert’s
Glen, Environs, and Glen Heather. Environs is a section of homes sandwiched
between Glen Heather and Calvert’s Glen, and because Environs was not completed
by the original builder, no HOA was ever established for these homes. This is
also why Calvert’s Glen consists only of 84 homes.”
Recently there was an incident in our community where chunks of rat poison were
placed into the back yard of a home with dogs and a small child, displaying a
flagrant disregard for safety.
Please remember that actions on your property can have far reaching
consequences for others. It is our duty to ensure that our actions do not harm
those around us, whether that was our intention or not.
Also, actions on another person’s property that create a hazard are a violation
of the law. As a community we can have no tolerance for this kind of behavior.
Hello! Welcome to the new look for the Calvert’s Glen HOA website. This
website will now be structured more like a blog, so that a record of
announcements will be available to the community.
This change was partially in response to issues that our previous website
hosting company was having, as well as the fact that they more than doubled
their prices for a renewal. So we went with a much less expensive option - to
save our association money!
Thanks very much for reading, and see you around the neighborhood!
I am happy to announce the winners of the Calvert’s Glen HOA Holiday Light
Contest. It was amazing to see so much of the neighborhood decorated in such
beautiful ways. I am proud of all the thought and effort put in to creating a
festive atmosphere for our community.
Here are the winners and honorable mentions:
Winner of the “Make Kids Smile” category: 272 Terrie
Honorable Mention of the “Make Kids Smile” category: 247 Markwood
